The Philly Women Peace Cup International (PWPCI) is a flagship global initiative of Philadelphia African Cup of Nations for Peace (PACONP), born from a bold vision: to harness the unifying power of sport not only to connect nations but to elevate women as leaders of peace, transformation, and global dialogue.
Rooted in the success of PACONP, we demonstrated that soccer could transcend borders, bridge cultures, and foster unity among diverse communities. PACONP laid the foundation mobilizing communities around shared values of peace, identity, and cultural pride.
PWPCI represents the next evolution of that movement. It is a deliberate and strategic expansion by Palms Solutions to affirm, invest in, and elevate women and girls as central actors in shaping a more just, peaceful, and interconnected world. Through PWPCI, women are no longer participants on the sidelines, they are leaders on the field, voices in global conversations, and architects of community transformation. The Philadelphia Global Women Peace Cup (WPC International) was born from a bold idea: using soccer not only as a game, but as a global language for peace, education, and cultural diplomacy.
It began with PACCONP (Philadelphia African & Caribbean Cup of Nations for Peace), spearheaded by Palms Solutions, which united diverse immigrant communities through soccer to promote peace, unity, and intercultural dialogue. This foundation revealed the transformative power of sport to bring people together across differences.
With the partnership of Women’s Campaign International (WCI)—a globally recognized leader in women’s empowerment—the vision expanded. WCI’s decades of work in leadership training, advocacy, and capacity-building gave WPC international a unique global reach. Together, we launched a platform where women and girls step onto the field not only to play, but to lead.

Our academy stands out for its unique combination of sports development, education, and cultural diplomacy. We offer a dynamic environment where participants not only develop their athletic skills but also engage in leadership training, mentorship programs, and community-building activities. Program Structure (8–12 Weeks)
Phase 1: Identity & Purpose: Participants discover their voice, values, and leadership identity. Phase 2: Leadership: Training in public speaking, teamwork, negotiation, and decision-making. Phase 3; Global & Cultural Diplomacy for peacebuilding and cross-cultural communication Phase 4: Action & Legacy Project participants launch a real-world initiative in their community.
